Meet the Founder

My name is Scheraine Beau, and I'm the founder of Fleur De Flavor. I have no fancy college degree, just certifications in medical billing, ServSafe management, and insurance adjusting. Twenty years in healthcare taught me to work hard, follow the process, and never lie about what's in the bottle.

The healthcare years. I spent 20+ years in medical billing, insurance adjusting, and clinic operations. I ran a mental health practice in New Orleans called Blue Bird Social Services. The clinic taught me how to keep a small operation running on tight margins and tighter timelines.

The pivot. In 2020, I gave up the clinic's license. The pandemic broke too many things to keep fixing. My daughter told me to stop waiting for things to feel normal and try the thing I actually loved, baking. I had been selling cakes out of my kitchen for two years, and the orders kept coming. So I started experimenting with flavorings. I bought every brand on the shelf, mixed for three months, and made my first bottle of Fleur De Flavor in my kitchen.

The flavoring line. I sold my first bottles through Sweet Treats Sugar Shack, my cottage food business. In 2021, I rebranded to Fleur De Flavor and started shipping nationwide. The first holiday season, I sold 200 bottles in a weekend. I cried.

Fleur De Flavor is one of several businesses I run from New Orleans. The others are smaller: a vending service, a cottage food brand, and a healthcare staffing company I started in 2017. The flavoring line is the one that grew.
